Fishers of Words depicts new territories and geographies that the book ‘Fishers of Men’ by Maxence van der Meersch was physically and metaphorically hooked into. Heavy layering in the composition of prints is a critical device aiming at looking deeper into a simplified relationship of the main character, a young working class Frenchman Peter Mardyck, with God.

Fishers of Words is a body of work developed as a result of collaboration between Aga and the LFTT Library (THE LEGS FOUNDATION FOR THE TRANSLATION OF THINGS).  Aga borrowed ‘Fishers of Men’ from the LFTT; New work produced was shown in ‘Scale Factor’, an exhibition of small works which travelled from Poland to The Guesthouse Cork for September 2014.  Aga interpreted the curators instructions for install from two to three dimensions.
